Abstract

This study was motivated by the low understanding of fourth grade students of MI Plus Bustanul Ulum Tunglur on basic mathematics concepts, especially area measurement. This classroom action research (PTK) aims to improve student learning outcomes through the application of the Snowball Throwing method. The research was conducted in two cycles, with the research subject being 22 fourth grade students of MI Plus Bustanul Ulum Tunglur, Badas District, Kediri Regency. The object of the research is student learning outcomes on area measurement material. Data were collected through tests, interviews, observations, and documentation. Individual success criteria is the value according to KKM, and classical success if 80% of students reach KKM. The results showed that the Snowball Throwing method was effective in improving students' learning outcomes on area measurement material.
