Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of digital literacy as an innovative learning strategy to counter disinformation in Elementary Schools (SD) and Islamic Elementary Schools (MI) in Wonodadi District. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and case study, this research involved teachers and students as the main units of analysis. The results indicate that the level of digital literacy among teachers and students is moderate, with critical thinking skills being the weakest aspect. The implementation of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and role-playing methods significantly improved students' digital literacy understanding by 28%, although challenges such as teacher capacity, infrastructure limitations, and lack of parental involvement remain barriers. The findings underscore the importance of digital literacy as a holistic competency encompassing cognitive, ethical, and social dimensions. This study recommends integrating digital literacy into the curriculum, providing continuous teacher training, and fostering multi-stakeholder collaboration to create an education ecosystem resilient to disinformation. The implications of this research contribute theoretically and practically to the development of innovative learning models in the digital era.
